Happy New Year!

Happy New Year to everyone! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas.

WOW, 2011 has been an amazingly big year for me. I not only started the year off as a newly-wed, but also as a new busines owner. It has been extremely exciting, tiring, emotional and life changing year. The best year ever.

I would not have been able to do any of it without John - he has been an absolute rock to me this last year. A true husband in every form. And despite the busy year, we are the happiest we have ever been.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported me in 2011. I wish love, happiness and good health to you and yours this year. Here is to a fantastic 2012!

Lots of love,
Lisa x

Winter Wedding at Carden Park on 4th December, 2011

Alwena Rose had the pleasure of styling a lovely winter wedding at Carden Park on 4th December. Red berries and lots of candles was the theme for this intimate wedding reception.

Wedding at Ruthin Castle, October 2011

Sorry for the lack of posts recently - we've been super busy here at Alwena Rose.

Here are a few pics from a gorgeous vintage wedding we styled at Ruthin Castle in October:

Today we styled a wedding in a marquee on the lawns of their beautiful home in Shropshire. Our candelabras decorated with ivy looked fab with the red and green colour scheme.

Why I love doing what I do: Happy Brides & Gooms!

It makes me realise how much I love doing what I do when I receive feedback like I did recently from a very happy bride, the new Mrs Swain:

I would recommend Alwena Rose aka Lisa! Lisa was fab! Everything was superb, service, advice & price!!! Nothing was too much either! Thank you so much for everything! I will forward photos to you when I get them.
